Carrollton Marketing Team Wins National Awards

savvy 2015The City of Carrollton Marketing Services Department recently brought home three national awards from the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) for its wide-ranging public communication and promotional efforts.

Marketing for the 2014 Festival at the Switchyard resulted in a first place Savvy award for the category of Special Events-Recurring. The Carrollton Connection, the City’s enewsletter, landed a second place Silver Circle award for Digital Interactive-Electronic Newsletter, and the Carrollton Trail Guide App also won a second place Silver Circle award for the Digital Interactive-Mobile category.

“3CMA is a dynamic network of more than 700 public communication and marketing professionals from across the nation. It’s wonderful to have our hard work recognized on this national platform. We hope Carrollton citizens are proud to have dedicated individuals working to engage the community and to increase involvement, responsiveness, and investment in our City,” said Marketing Director Kelli Lewis.

Effective public information offices are vital to local governments throughout the nation. Messages, programs, and campaigns link citizens to the essential information they need to access services and remain a part of the democratic process. Maintaining a shared vision for the community and ensuring the transparency of municipal government are demanding and constant requirements for successful public communicators.

The 2015 3CMA conference, held in Atlanta, saw more than 700 entries across 16 categories and 38 subcategories.
