The holidays were a busy time for Metrocrest Services employees and volunteers. Many families in the community continuously struggle during the holidays as they deal with financial challenges related to feeding their kids while out of school for winter break and being able to provide some gifts for their children. The Metrocrest Services holiday program provided 963 families with gifts and toys for their children and extra food to sustain them during the time their kids were at home.
"Metrocrest Services is fortunate to have such a partner in the City of Carrollton who works hand in hand with Metrocrest Services and other community partners to truly help our neighbors in their time of need," said Tracy Eubanks, Chief Executive Officer of Metrocrest Services. "The impact of the Metrocrest Services holiday program would be greatly reduced without the commitment from the City of Carrollton and its employees.”
Nearly 2,700 kids received gifts due to the generosity of donors and the hard work of community volunteers. This included distributing 324 brand new bikes to ecstatic and very surprised parents who never thought they could provide their child a new bike.
