Temporary Parking Lot Closure in Downtown Prepares for Exciting New Development
UPDATE (04/03/17): The public parking lot is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4.
The City encourages citizens traveling to and through Downtown Carrollton tomorrow, Wednesday, February 8, to be advised of a closure to the public parking lot at Main Street and Carroll Avenue adjacent to Twisted Root Burger Co. (1111 S Main St #100). Real estate company Trammell Crow will be conducting some geophysical testing at the site of the planned mixed-used development The Union at Carrollton Square-Phase III.
The lot is scheduled to be closed from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. as well as the following Monday, February, 13 through 15.
The testing is crucial to the preliminary work for Phase III of the development as the site will translate to 330 apartment units, approximately 4,000 sq. ft. of retail space, a multi-level structured parking garage similar to Phases I and II, street parking, and improved streetscape and walkability along Main Street and Carroll Avenue.
The City of Carrollton continues the work to make Downtown a place to live, work, and play. Check back for updates to this project on the City’s social media pages or at cityofcarrollton.com.
