Toadies to Headline 8th Annual Carrollton Festival at the Switchyard
The City of Carrollton is excited to announce The Toadies as the headlining entertainment for the 2017 Festival at the Switchyard.
Come check out their grungy tunes and ‘90s nostalgia like “Possum Kingdom” at the free, award-winning Festival on Saturday, November 4 on the Downtown Carrollton Square (1106 S. Broadway Street) from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to free concerts, the City puts together a full day of fun with free live entertainment, free rides and games, and free activities for children of all ages including bungee trampolines, a zip line, face painting, and more.
The Toadies began their rock career 26 years ago in Fort Worth. The band burst onto the national scene in 1994 with their debut album Rubberneck, featuring hits like “Away,” “Tyler,” and signature single “Possum Kingdom.” The band members went their separate ways after releasing the sophomore effort Hell Below/Stars Above, but reunited in 2006 and have since produced four studio albums including their latest Heretics (2015).
Year after year, excitement builds for the Festival with attendance reaching 30,000 in 2016. The City announced the headliner in social media posts earlier today, and will announce the opening act on June 20. Look for the full entertainment schedule and music lineup in the coming weeks.
