Put Your Ideas into Action on a Carrollton Board or Commission
The City of Carrollton is now accepting applications for the 2017 Boards & Commissions appointments in October. Residents are encouraged to get involved in the areas of community life that mean the most to them.
City government depends on residents who volunteer their time and expertise to participate in public service as members of boards, commissions, and committees. By lending a more diverse viewpoint for City Council to consider, their actions help shape and influence public policy. Citizen involvement is important to setting the direction for Carrollton's future.
The following boards have available seats: Capital Improvements Plan Advisory Committee, Historic Preservation Advisory Committee, Library Board, Museum Board, Neighborhood Advisory Commission, Planning & Zoning Commission, Parks & Recreation Board, Property Standards Board, and the Traffic Advisory Committee.
Applications will be accepted until Friday, September 15 at 11:30 a.m.
Carrollton City Council will discuss the appointments in an October work session during a Council meeting. There will be some boards and commissions that require interviews for potential candidates. Candidates who are selected for an interview will be contacted to schedule an interview time. All applicants will be notified after the appointment process.
