City to Conduct Emergency Services Response Training Exercises

training-photo-with-DART-from-Watson-01The City is conducting a series of emergency services training exercises in conjunction with Addison, Coppell, and Farmers Branch.

These exercises are designed to test and evaluate the City’s emergency services capabilities and fine tune response protocols for future incidents. Dates, times, and locations are as follows:

Tuesday, September 26:  DART will provide a bus to simulate a high capacity passenger motor vehicle accident. The exercise will occur at McInnish Park (2335 Sandy Lake Road) at 9:30a.m. and 1p.m.

Wednesday, September 27:  Carrollton Fire, EMS, and Police will participate in an active shooter simulation with multiple casualties. The exercise will be held at The Fields (1401 Carrollton Parkway) at 9:30a.m. and 1p.m.

Thursday, September 28:  This exercise will simulate a significant event, such as a tornado during a sporting event, with multiple patients. The exercise will be held at Standridge Stadium (1330 Valwood Parkway) at 9:30a.m. and 1p.m.
