A Victorian Valentine_cable slide-01It’s time to begin planning a romantic evening with that special someone, and Carrollton’s A.W. Perry Homestead Museum is offering just the event to woo your beloved.

Come enjoy A Victorian Valentine on Saturday, February 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the Museum (1509 N. Perry Road). The event will feature a couple’s dance lesson accompanied by a live performance from the Dallas New Horizons Band. There also will be sweets for your sweet in the form of chocolate and a rose included with ticket purchase.

Did you know, by the mid-1850s, Valentine’s Day had become a popular holiday in America by sending cards, lavish gifts, and even works of art to lovers and secret admirers? Continue the tradition with a special night of dreamy dancing in the sunset with your significant other.

Tickets are $20 for residents and $22 for non-residents. To purchase tickets for your enchanted evening, visit under the Community section. Tickets may also be purchased at Crosby or Rosemeade Recreation Centers or at the Carrollton Senior Center. For more information, call 972-466-6381 or find the event on the City’s Facebook page.
