Carrollton Public Library Hosts Anti-Valentine's Day Mystery Parties
The City of Carrollton Public Library is hosting two free Anti-Valentine’s Day murder mystery parties. The teen party (ages 13-18) will be held on Tuesday, February 13 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Hebron & Josey Library (4220 N. Josey Lane) and the tween party (ages 10-14) will be held on Wednesday, February 14 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Josey Ranch Lake Library (1700 Keller Springs Road).
Are you fed up with sending cutesy Valentine’s Day cards? Seen the last mushy kiss by your big brother and his girlfriend that you ever want to see? Too young to start dating; or just got over a breakup? Come enjoy a non-romantic party and have fun solving a modern day murder mystery.
Solve the puzzle of the Baroness Arabella Rummun, who died recently under tragic and mysterious circumstances. Help the police crack the case and find out what will happen to all of the wonderful artifacts she has collected over the years.
Teens and tweens, at their respective parties, will play characters in this modern day whodunit detective story and have fun decorating cookies (as well as eating the results of their efforts, of course).
Enjoy watching everyone else search out the clues to the mystery, or maybe discover that you have hidden detective tendencies and help solve the crime yourself.
Admittance is free, no registration is necessary, and there is no limit to the number of teen/tween participants. Cookies, drinks, and snacks will be provided.
For more information on either party, call the Carrollton Public Library at 972-466-4800.
