The plan review staff is a group of degreed and trained professionals who have been trained to understand construction and fire codes and related ordinances. They have the responsibility to communicate with and educate customers on the needs and requirements of the City’s development regulations.

They will review your plans and specifications for residential, commercial, multifamily and industrial projects and associated public improvements for compliance with health and life safety requirements and insure that all plans submitted for permitting are complete and any deficiencies addressed. In addition, solutions to design issues and consultation on codes and ordinances can be provided to you.

They will coordinate project permits from initial design to final permit issuance. This includes:

  • scheduling and participating in pre-application and pre-permit meetings
  • providing consultation to stakeholder inquiries
  • reviewing, evaluating and researching the project history for all stakeholders
