Neighborhood Advisory Commission

A highlight of the NAC's work is the regular review of proposals under the city's Neighborhood Enhancement Matching Grant Program (NEMGP). The NAC reviews proposals and makes decisions regarding grants for the neighborhood enhancement projects.

The NAC meets on the second Thursday of the month as needed, with occasional special meetings, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 1945 E. Jackson Rd. These meetings are open to the public. For more information on meeting dates, please contact the Community Development Office at 972-466-4299.

The Commission is composed of nine citizens who reside in three different zones of the city. Each commissioner can serve up to three consecutive two-year terms. Click NAC Assignments (located on left menu) to access a map of assigned neighborhoods to commissioners.

The NAC is also responsible for reviewing and recommending plans and reports related to the Community Development Block Grant program before submittal to the City Council for a public hearing and adoption. To view those documents, please visit CDBG.
