CARROLLTON PRESENTS 2017 ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS
|PPG Architectural Coatings, Inc. receives Carrollton’s 2016-2017 Environmental Distinction Award.|
Carrollton, Texas – The City of Carrollton Environmental Services Department recognizes industries that consistently comply with industrial pretreatment and stormwater regulations for a full year. The Department honors the Environmental Distinction Award to industries that have enhanced their pollution prevention operations and shown environmental leadership.
At the December 5, 2017 City Council meeting, Mayor Kevin W. Falconer and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem John Sutter presented the Consistent Compliance Award to the following industries for their commitment to environmental quality and sustainability. These industries exemplify environmental leadership through the integration of pollution prevention, community partnerships, and exceptional stewardship of our resouces.

PPG Architectural Coatings, Inc. has manufactured water-based paints in Carrollton since 1962. PPG was able to rework more than 530,000 gallons of paint and increased recycling by 20%, preventing a substantial amount of special waste from being disposed of in landfills.
Additionally, PPG’s continued community support activities for the North Texas area include donations to the North Texas Food Bank, paint to Hurricane Harvey victims,blood drives through Carter BloodCare and Toys for Tots. Congratulations to PPG Agricultural Coatings, Inc.!
