Neighborhood Advisory CommissionThe Neighborhood Advisory Commission (NAC) advises the City Council on policies and strategies related to the development, preservation and improvement of neighborhoods in Carrollton. These activities often are in relation to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. A highlight of the NAC's work is the regular review of proposals under the city's Neighborhood Enhancement Matching Grant Program (NEMGP). The NAC reviews proposals and makes decisions regarding grants for the neighborhood enhancement projects. The NAC meets on the second Thursday of the month as needed, with occasional special meetings, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 1945 E. Jackson Rd. These meetings are open to the public. For more information on meeting dates, please contact the Community Development Office at 972-466-4299. CommissionersThe Commission is composed of nine citizens who reside in three different zones of the city. Each commissioner can serve up to three consecutive two-year terms.
