Selection Process
|
Anyone wishing to serve, including current
members, must submit an application during the annual boards
and committee appointment process. Applications are
mailed to each household during each spring with the
utility statement. The deadline is noted on the application
form. Members of some boards must possess certain technical
skills as specified by ordinance. Appointments will be made
by the City Council to fill
unexpired terms or full two-year terms. Terms are staggered
whereby one-half of the membership is appointed each year.
All applicants are notified of appointment by mail.
Applicants who were not appointed will be reconsidered as
vacancies occur. Applications are maintained on file for one year. For more
information, call the City's Secretary at 972-466-3021.
