Texas Historical Commission
The Texas Historical
Commission is the state agency for historic preservation. Established in 1953
by the state legislature, their mission is to protect and to preserve the
state's historic and prehistoric resources for the use, education, enjoyment
and economic benefit of present and future generations. THC staff consults with
citizens and organizations to preserve Texas' architectural, archeological and
cultural landmarks. |
