*Per Section 7.04(7) of the City Charter, a candidate must receive a majority of all votes cast for the office for which he/she seeks. As the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes shall be placed on the ballot for a runoff election, Kevin Falconer and Steve Babick will be included in a Runoff Election for the Office of the Mayor. The Runoff Election will be ordered at the May 16, 2017 Council Meeting.

Early Voting Information - April 24 - May 2
 Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted at Josey Ranch Lake Library, 1700 Keller Springs, and at Hebron & Josey Library, 4220 North Josey as follows

April 24 - April 28 (Monday - Friday)

8am -- 5pm

April 29 (Saturday)

8am -- 5pm

April 30 (Sunday)

1pm -- 6pm

May 1 - 2 (Monday - Tuesday)

7am -- 7pm

 

Registered voters can early vote at either location; however, to vote in the LISD election voters will need to do so at the Hebron & Josey Library (4220 N Josey Lane). LISD voters will need to cast their vote in two separate voting booths, as they will need to be in the Denton County line for the LISD elections, and the Dallas County line for the City Elections.

Candidate Information
Informational Packets for prospective candidates are available in the City Secretary's Office located on the second floor of City Hall. The filing period begins January 18, 2017 and ends February 17, 2017. Applications will be accepted by the City Secretary's Office during City Hall's business hours (Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-5:30pm and Friday 7:30am-11:30am). On the last day of filing (February 17), the City Secretary will be in the office to accept applications until 5:00pm.

Qualifications to serve are listed in Section 2.02 of the City Charter.
