The city operates under a decentralized system. This means that city departments are responsible for buying their own commodities and services under $50,000.  However, all purchases are reviewed by Purchasing to ensure compliance with state law. 

The city does not maintain a vendor database.  The city utilizes the services listed below.  Please register with one of these agencies or monitor this Website for upcoming bids. Upcoming bid  notifications can be received via email from the city of Carrollton free of charge.  Simply subscribing to  e-InfoMail service and you will be notified when new information is available.

Additional Services

In an effort to increase competitiveness in the bid and quote process, the city contracts with     RFP Depot, Demand Star  and Texas Building Procurement Commission cooperative agencies to assist with sealed bids, RFPs and quotes. Carrollton does not post bids to RFP Depot, but this is website that vendors can use for many other governments in north Texas. Registration with these agencies is not required, however, it may be beneficial to your business due to the frequency used by Carrollton and other local entities.
