Sex Offender Ordinance

The Carrollton City Council recently adopted an Ordinance making it unlawful for certain sex offenders to reside within 1,000 feet of premises where children gather (including public and private schools, churches, day care centers and parks).  Compliance will be a condition of probation for persons convicted of certain sexual offenses.  Compliance with the new residency restrictions will not apply to offenders currently living in Carrollton, but will apply to convicted persons moving to this community in the future.
