About the Department

The Carrollton Police Department is authorized 163 sworn personnel, 76 civilians, and 40 school crossing guards. Bureaus within the department are Management Services, Investigative Services and Operations.

Specialized sections include Bike Patrol,Crime Analysis, Crime Prevention, Crime Scene, Criminal Investigations, Hostage Negotiators, K-9 Unit, Operational Support Unit,Personnel, Planning & Research, Records, Victims Assistance/Social Services, Tactical, TelecommunicationsTraffic, and Training.

Career Opportunities 

The Carrollton Police Department will be giving a Police Civil Service Exam on Saturday November 14, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. at Newman Smith High School, located at 2335 North Josey Lane Carrollton, Texas.
