for free! Mother's Day Concert and Picnic
Sunday, May 11 Join us for this annual Mother's Day tradition. Enjoy a relaxing evening on the Museum grounds while listening to musicians play from the front porch of the historic 1909 home. Bring a picnic meal, blankets or lawn chairs. Free ice cream and lemonade will be provided. Children can make an old-fashioned handmade gift for mom. Enter the third annual Mother's Day Picnic Contest. Create a theme for your picnic and enter in one of three categories - Best Family, Most Elegant or Most Creative. Contest registration begins at 5:15 p.m. and judging takes place at 6:00 p.m. with winners announced at the end of the concert. Please call 972-466-6380 for additional information.

Saturday, July 26 Celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month by attending the Picnic in the Park, hosted by Carrollton Parks and Recreation. Bring your family and join friends and neighbors at this outdoor community picnic to enjoy good food and a variety of fun activities including arts and crafts, games, sports and play on the playground. Watch for more details!
Saturday, August 30 Shoppers and sellers are invited to participate in this indoor community garage sale. Residents and non-residents can rent a 10' X 10' space for $20 to sell items. One table and two chairs are provided for each booth. Sellers can rent one space per household. All items must be in good taste and suitable for family viewing. The City reserves the right to screen and reject items for sale. Items being sold can't promote personal businesses to patrons. No solicitation is allowed. Spaces are limited. Every Thursday night Admission includes a free dance lesson at 6 p.m. and entry into the dance. Dance hosts are available. Cookies and coffee at the break. Dance schedule includes Gary Lee - Ballroom, High Caliber - Country & Western, Southern Pride - Country & Western, Ronnie Martin - Ballroom, and Charlie Patteson - Ballroom. For adults 50+.
