
History
The Youth Task Force is a
City Council appointed committee of ten high school teens who represent youth in Carrollton.
It was established in 1999 to create a line of communication
between Carrollton teens and the Carrollton City Council.
Mission Statement
The Youth Task Force takes
the responsibility of accepting the leadership role for the
youth of Carrollton by identifying, prioritizing and acting upon
the following key issues concerning youth.
* To be informed about the resources for youth
* To establish and maintain communication between the youth
and city government
* To ultimately bring the youth into an active role
Youth Task Force Meetings
The Youth Task Force meets on the first Wednesday of the month
at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall Council Briefing Room, 1945 E. Jackson
Road, Carrollton, 75006. These meetings are open to the
public.

How Do I
Become a Member of the Youth Task Force?
The city of Carrollton recruits new members each year. Council appointments are usually made in
the fall. Please call Parks & Recreation at 972-466-3080 if you are interested in
becoming a member.
