POOL
RENOVATIONS
A 2004 Bond Election authorized $1.7 M for
Rosemeade Pool renovations and $300,000 for Thomas Center Pool
renovations.
Rosemeade Swimming Pool Improvements will
include
Upgrade aging pump, drain & circulation systems
Demolish existing wading pool
Eliminate non-compliant 5m platform tower
Add new zero-depth entry pool with various pool features including
water slide
Add shade structures, extend fence and other items - chairs, pool
decking and landscaping
Begin Construction in mid September 2006
Design completion in mid-June 2006
Construction complete and pools open on Memorial Day, May 28, 2007
Thomas Swimming Pool Improvements include:
Upgrade aging pump machinery
Address non-compliant wading pool
Add shade structures, extend fence and landscaping
Same schedule as Rosemeade Pool

The design of soccer fields and related amenities is near completion. Staff has met with
the local sports associations to include their input into the final design.
Construction is near completion and use is anticipated in the spring of 2007. Please call the

MAINTENANCE FACILITY
2205 Sandy Lake Road
Parks
Maintenance Staff will be moving from the
location behind W.J. Thomas Pool to the Rural America site northeast
of McInnish Sports Complex. The facility is currently under design and
expected to be complete in winter 2006. Please call the Parks & Recreation
