911 calls placed from a Carrollton location are answered by the Carrollton Police Department Telecommunications Division.  The same Telecommunications Division also receives and processes all calls for Fire or EMS requests.

Carrollton City Jail – 24 hours a day - 972-466-3335

Most citizens arrested by the Carrollton Police Department are taken to the city jail, located at 2001 E. Jackson Road, for processing.  If the prisoner is going to be detained for a long period of time, he/she may be transported to either the Dallas County jail or the Denton County jail.

Carrollton Police Narcotics Unit – 24 hours a day voice mail - 972-466-9133

Ongoing problems with narcotic activity may be called in to this voice mail system.  Callers may leave information anonymously or provide their name and phone number for an officer in the Narcotics Unit to follow up with them. 

Any in-progress narcotic activity should be reported to 9-1-1 for an immediate response.

Fire Prevention Division – 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (M – F) 972-466-3210

The Fire Prevention Division is responsible for ensuring Carrollton's citizens and visitors are provided with fire and life safety services that decrease the likelihood of loss of life and property from fire and other perils and for determining the cause of all fires within our City.  Responsibilities include fire and life safety education, plan reviews, inspection services and investigation related to fire cause and origin and criminal investigation related to arson.
