The Carrollton Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit offers citizens many types of services. Adult and children's groups may choose from different programs and offerings. Officers will visit schools to present information on strangers, drugs, alcohol, theft, fighting, or any subject of interest to teachers and children. During Red Ribbon Week, usually the last week in October, special assemblies are scheduled. Tours through police facilities are given on a scheduled basis. Many groups take advantage of this service including scouts, home-schoolers, churches, and civic groups. Contact the Crime Prevention office to schedule a tour.
