Statistics gathered from offense reports indicate that many of these burglaries could have been prevented if citizens had taken a few precautions to reduce the probability of being victimized. Being a hard target for crime is making your home or vehicle less vulnerable to crime. There are many low or no cost ways to reduce the risk of property crime. The more hard targets we have in Carrollton, the fewer opportunities for criminals. Once everyone does their part, eventually the bad guys will have to move on down the road.
