The Program
Bring the whole family! Come one and all to hear excerpts from books written by African-American authors. Special guests will read selections aloud for your enjoyment.
This program is presented by Professional Achievers for Community Excellence (PACE) with support from the Friends of the Carrollton Public Library and the Carrollton Public Library.
Free books written by African American authors will be available to children and teens, while supplies last.
For all ages
The Presenters
The members of PACE, Professional Achievers of Community Excellence, are united to enhance community excellence, spiritual growth, educational opportunity, and leadership. Their purpose is to serve the community; build friendships and mutual support; and pursue educational, family, social and cultural endeavors.
Each year, PACE awards as many $1,500 scholarships as donations to the scholarship fund will allow.

Thank you to the Friends of the Carrollton Public Library for their donation to support the African American Read-In.
The Friends' mission is to promote the Carrollton Public Library as a cultural, educational, and recreational asset in our community. They work to raise funds for Library needs beyond the normal Library budget, including all youth events and other programming for kids, teens, and adults.
