Discover how to grow new plants from existing ones through the simple and effective method of stem cutting propagation. This presentation covers the fundamental principles of asexual reproduction in plants, highlighting how new plants can be grown from sections of stems.

Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting 15 minutes before the program. 

The Presenters

Established in 1989, the Denton County Master Gardener Association (DCMGA) volunteer program is administered by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service through their Horticulture Agent in Denton County. The DCMGA Mission Statement: To educate and inspire Denton County residents through research-based horticulture, to promote eco-friendly gardens and enduring landscapes that enrich our communities.

Master Gardeners are members of the local community who take an active interest in their lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and gardens. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and to help others, and able to communicate with diverse groups of people.

After completing special training in horticulture, persons who become Master Gardeners contribute time as volunteers, working through their AgriLife Extension office to provide horticultural-related information to their communities.
