You will be provided an overview of four different types of IP—patent, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright—while learning the importance of understanding each type. In addition, learn about USPTO (U.S. Patent & Trademark Office) resources and initiatives that assist the innovation ecosystem.
The session covers:
- An overview of intellectual property types: patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
- Why innovators and entrepreneurs should consider protecting their IP
- Local resources and assistance available through the USPTO and other agencies
