The City's AAA credit rating has been reaffirmed by Fitch rating agency as reported in the Wall Street Journal. This is due to strong financial leadership by City Council and staff, resulting in better interest rates, and therefore cost savings for our residents.

The City of Carrollton has been AAA rated from S&P since 2009 and from Fitch since 2010. However, it is an ongoing analysis: any changes in the city finances can cause a change in rating. For now we have a stable outlook, which is the best you can get with the AAA rating.
