Post Date:10/05/2017 1:19 PM

2017 fas flyerThe City of Carrollton is gearing up for the 2017 Festival at the Switchyard in just a few weeks. This free signature City event will be held on Saturday, November 4 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on the streets of Historic Downtown Carrollton, located just east of I-35 on the south side of Belt Line Road.

This 8th annual Festival promises to be another fun-filled year, complete with rides, games, treats, and shows. It’s a rain or shine event with a 32-foot wide, 24-foot high main stage structure located at the southwest corner of the Square at the intersection of 4th Avenue and S. Elm Street. Performers will take the stage throughout the day including sets by Walk This Way Aerosmith Tribute, Thieving Birds, King George: A Tribute to George Strait, Emily Wolfe, Emerald City Band, Local H, and headliners Everclear and The Toadies.

In addition to exciting concerts, there will be great food, a beer garden, arts and crafts, live entertainment, interactive games, and activities for children of all ages. The free kid zone will offer bungee trampolines, a zip line, and more.

Parking is extremely limited, so Festival attendees should park at DART stations and ride the Green Line to the Downtown Carrollton Station. Due to large crowd expectations, no chairs, pets, or coolers will be allowed inside Festival grounds. This is a no smoking event. Visit the FAQ page at for a list of all prohibited items.
