NTTA Schedules Maintenance Closures on PGBT in Carrollton

The following road closures are needed for maintenance activities on the President George Bush Turnpike.

Friday, February 2, through the morning of Sunday, February 4 PGBT_WB_ClosureMap_020218R4

  • All westbound lanes from Old Denton Road to I-35E the westbound entrance ramp from Old Denton Road, and the westbound entrance ramp from Josey Lane will be closed from 11:59 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday, February 2, through the morning of Sunday, February 4. 

  • The westbound PGBT to north- and southbound I-35E direct-connector ramp will be closed nightly from 11:59 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday, February 2, through the morning of Sunday, February 4.

Sunday, February 4, through the morning of Monday, February 5

  • All westbound lanes from Old Denton Road to I-35E the westbound entrance ramp from Old Denton Road, and the westbound entrance ramp from Josey Lane will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Sunday, February 4 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 5.

  • The westbound PGBT to north- and southbound I-35E direct-connector ramp will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Sunday, February 4 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 5.

Detour from westbound PGBT to northbound I-35E

Motorists will exit at Old Denton Road and continue west on State Highway 190 (the PGBT frontage road) until the intersection of SH 190 and I-35E. Motorists will then travel north on the I-35E frontage road to access northbound I-35E.

Detour from westbound PGBT to southbound I-35E

Motorists will exit at Old Denton Road and travel south on Old Denton Road to Whitlock Lane/Sandy Lake Road. Motorists will then travel west to I-35E and head south on the frontage road to access southbound I-35E.

Detour to westbound PGBT

Motorists will exit on Old Denton Road and drive south to Whitlock Lane/Sandy Lake Road. Motorists will travel west on Whitlock Lane/Sandy Lake Road to access westbound PGBT.

Changeable message signs will be placed prior to lane closures. When needed, law enforcement personnel also will be on duty to assist motorists.

All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary. Delays are expected, and motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area.
