Swim-In Cinema Returns this Summer with Showings of Moana and Wreck-It Ralph
Carrollton, Texas – The City of Carrollton is excited to announce the return of Swim-in Cinema with two events being offered this year to give residents more chances to simultaneously enjoy a day at the pool and a night at the movies. The events will be held at Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex (1334 E. Rosemeade Parkway) Friday, July 13 and Friday, August 10. Open swim begins at 7 p.m. and goes till dusk; the featured film will start shortly after.
Ticket prices vary by age and residency. Swim-in Cinema is free for ages 3 and under, $3 for ages 4-6, $5 for Carrollton residents over the age of 6, and $7 for non-residents over the age of 6. A $2 discount is offered to pool season pass holders. Presentation of driver’s license is required to receive the resident rate.
Sail away with Moana (2016), PG Friday, July 13 as she tries to save her people and island home with the help of an eccentric demi-god named Maui. Then, follow along as Ralph, an arcade game character who’s tired of being the bad guy, tries to become a hero in Wreck-it Ralph (2012), PG Friday, August 10.
“Swim-in Cinema is a unique event at our aquatics facility,” said Kim Bybee, Carrollton Parks Manager. “This family-friendly event allows the movie-goer to enjoy a movie while relaxing in the pool during a warm summer night.”
