Texas Flood

High energy cover bands Downtown Fever and Texas Flood will join openers Vertical Horizon and Tonic and headliner Stone Temple Pilots for Carrollton’s 9th Annual Festival at the Switchyard on Saturday, November 3 in Downtown Carrollton (1106 S. Broadway Street).

Created in the image of the legendary Emerald City Band, who performed in 2017 at the 8th Annual Festival, Downtown Fever is not your average party band. The group is comprised of some of the most talented musicians Dallas has to offer; they perform songs ranging from Frank Sinatra, to ‘80s pop rock, to the hits of today that are sure to get Festival goers dancing and singing along.

Before Downtown Fever takes the stage, Texas Flood, one of the most premier blues bands in the DFW Metroplex, will pay tribute to the blues legends like Stevie Ray Vaughan, as well as give listeners a preview of the future of blues with their own music and style. Through an in-your-face performance and raw energy, Tommy Katona and Texas Flood will take attendees on a journey through the blues.

A full Festival entertainment schedule, as well as the entire music lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition to free concerts, the award-winning Festival at the Switchyard features free live entertainment, free rides and games, free activities for children of all ages, and an array of food vendors and Festival booths to shop from. The event is held on the streets of Downtown Carrollton, just off IH-35E and Belt Line Road, steps away from the Downtown Carrollton Station on the DART Green Line.

Festival sponsors to date include 97.1 The Eagle, Atmos Energy, Bath Expo and Window Expo, Dallas Observer, DART, DFW Child Magazine, Frost Bank, Keller Williams Central, Suburban Parent Magazine, and Waste Management. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event, which hosted more than 40,000 patrons in 2017.
