Post Date:09/05/2018 4:08 PM

Swing-webIt don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing! Step back to the 1940s for a night full of swing dancing at Carrollton’s Crosby Recreation Center (1610 E. Crosby Road) on Friday, October 12 from 6:30-9 p.m. The Trinity Room will be transformed with a patriotic, World War II red, white, and blue theme, and music will be provided by the 20-member New Horizons UpSwing Jazz Orchestra.

Don't know how to swing dance? No problem. The star-spangled event will start with dance lessons from 6:30-7 p.m. Vintage 1940s outfits are encouraged, and a prize will be given for the best-dressed couple.

Bring a date or your best girl. Drinks and snacks will be provided, and a photo booth with props will capture the moment.

Registration is required. Cost is $20 per couple. Sign up at cityofcarrollton.com/signupnow with class #113420-65 or for more information call 972-466-4850.
