The City of Carrollton’s Marketing Services Department recently brought home two national awards for the 2018 Pet Photo Calendar from the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) at the organizations 30th annual conference in Milwaukee, WI on Thursday, September 6.

Savvy-Awards-websiteIn keeping with City goals to provide a safe pet community and promote healthy pet ownership, proceeds from photo entries, sales of the calendar, and sponsorship ads go directly to the Carrollton Animal Services & Adoption Center for resources such as food, medicine, cleaning supplies, and treatment of sick or injured animals.

The Pet Photo Calendar earned a first place Savvy award for the category of Printed Publications – Calendars and was described by 3CMA judges as a “fantastic fundraising and awareness project.” The calendar also received an Award of Excellence in the Graphic Design – Publications category.

The calendar “effectively engaged stakeholders and prospective stakeholders, and served as an effective fundraiser,” per 3CMA. One judge went on to say, “This was a very nice execution of a crowd-pleasing piece.”

“Carrollton Animal Services is devoted to providing premier animal care and control services in our community and Marketing Services is thrilled to have won awards for producing a beneficial campaign for such a great cause,” said Marketing Director Kelli Lewis.
