2018CFAS_11x17 posterBe the heart and soul of the City of Carrollton’s Festival at the Switchyard by signing up to be a volunteer on Saturday, November 3.

Volunteers play a vital role by helping during all phases of the Festival and creating a safe, clean, and enjoyable event for all.

Volunteers ages 16 and older (ages 14-15 are accepted if part of a school, church, or Scouts group with adult supervision) will pass out event programs, greet attendees, provide information, monitor rides and games, and assist with children’s activities and crafts. Volunteers must be able to work a minimum of two hours at the outdoor event.

As a volunteer, you will become a member of a unique Festival family. Thousands of visitors will benefit from your service as they enjoy free family fun. You will also receive a free volunteer T-shirt, a free lunch, and a great parking spot close to the event site.

The Festival will be held on the Downtown Carrollton Square (1106 S. Broadway Street) from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. The event includes a lineup of varied musical styles including headliner Stone Temple Pilots and openers Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Downtown Fever, Texas Flood, Jelly Ellington, Straight Tequila Night, Redline, and Counterfeit Radio. Front of stage performers, including the Creekview High School Chevals and Sidekicks Karate, and children’s entertainers in the Plaza Arts Center, such as stunt juggler Matt Tardy and hula hoop artist Corean Gonzales, will also entertain attendees.

In addition to the exciting free concerts and live children’s entertainment, attendees will be able to grab a bite to eat from a variety of food vendors and unique Downtown restaurants, as well as browse Festival booths and the eclectic shops surrounding the Downtown Square. The event also offers a beer garden, free face painting and balloon art, free arts and crafts, and free rides and games, including bungee trampolines, a zip line, a giant fun slide, and more.
