Road Closures Planned on Rosemeade Parkway & Plano Parkway Due to Construction
Lane Closure: The northbound lanes of Rosemeade Parkway between Frankford Road and Andrew Lane will be closed beginning Monday, March 11 at 7 a.m. and are expected to reopen Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m., due to sewer construction. Northbound traffic will be rerouted west to Eisenhower Street and east to Old Denton Road. Southbound traffic will not be affected. For more information, call the City’s Engineering Department at 972-466-3204.
Road Closure: Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Plano Parkway between Warmington Drive and Dozier Road will also be closed beginning Thursday, March 14 at 6 a.m. through the evening of Friday, March 15 due to railroad crossing reconstruction by BNSF Railroad. BNSF will be removing the railroad tracks, panels, railroad ties, and gravel and reconstructing the railroad crossing in an effort to improve travel conditions across the tracks. The reconstruction is expected to cause delays and divert traffic across the area. Travelers are advised to use Midway Road or seek alternative routes. Taking Marsh Lane to Parker Road is not advised due to the absence of a traffic light. For more information, contact BNSF at bnsf.com/contact.
