NTTA to Reopen Kelly Boulevard Bridge at President George Bush Turnpike Saturday, August 15

NTTA - PGBT Toll SignThe following maintenance activities are scheduled to be completed:

Saturday, August 15:

The Kelly Boulevard bridge over the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) is scheduled to reopen. Work crews from HNTB Corporation estimate completing final repairs and striping of the lanes to reopen the bridge to traffic as early as Saturday, August 15, weather permitting.

NTTA has informed the contractor that Monday, August 17 is the hard deadline for reopening the bridge which has had varying lanes under construction for maintenance repairs since February 14 and been closed entirely to traffic since Saturday, May 30.

Message boards will be placed nearby to alert motorists. These repairs were coordinated with the City of Carrollton.

All construction is subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary.

NTTA Closing Two East- and Two Westbound SRT Lanes Overnight Between Huffines Boulevard and Old Denton Road

SRT Logo SignThe following closures are needed for construction activities associated with the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) Fourth Lane Project:

Monday, July 27 through the morning of Tuesday, July 28 (Overnight):  

  • Two westbound left lanes of the SRT between Old Denton Road and Hebron Parkway will be closed from 10 p.m. on Monday, July 27 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28.
  • Two eastbound left lanes between Huffines/Marchant Boulevards and Parker Road/FM 544 will be closed 10 p.m. on Monday, July 27 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28.

Construction work for this project includes adding a fourth lane in each direction from US 75 to south of Denton Tap Road. Changeable message signs will be placed prior to lane closures in the construction area. 

All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area.

Friday, July 17 through Sunday, July, 26 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Overnight): 

  • Two eastbound left lanes between Old Denton Road and Standridge Drive/Castle Hills Drive
  • Two eastbound left lanes between South Colony Boulevard/Nebraska Furniture Mart Drive and West Spring Creek Parkway
  • Two westbound left lanes between Legacy Drive and South Colony Boulevard/Nebraska Furniture Mart Drive
  • Two westbound left lanes between Standridge Drive/Castle Hills Drive and Carrollton Parkway

Construction work for this project includes adding a fourth lane in each direction from US 75 to south of Denton Tap Road.

NTTA Construction Closing Kelly Bridge at PGBT Early Saturday Morning, May 30 Through Early August

The following closures are needed for maintenance activities:

NTTA - PGBT Toll SignSaturday, May 30 (Continuous):

The Kelly Boulevard bridge over the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) will be closed to traffic from Saturday May 30 through early August.

Southbound Kelly Boulevard traffic detour: Motorists will turn right onto westbound Trinity Mills Road (the PGBT frontage road) and continue to Scott Mill Road, where they will turn left. They will then make the immediate left onto eastbound Trinity Mills Road and continue to Kelly Boulevard and make a right.

Alternative southbound Kelly Boulevard traffic detour: Motorists will turn right onto westbound Trinity Mills Road and continue to Josey Lane, where they will make a U-turn onto eastbound Trinity Mills Road and continue to Kelly Boulevard and make a right.

Northbound Kelly Boulevard detour: Motorists will turn right onto eastbound Trinity Mills Road (the PGBT frontage road) and make a U-turn at Plumdale Drive/Briar Hill Drive onto westbound Trinity Mills Road. From here they will continue to Kelly Boulevard and make a right.

The following closures are needed for construction activities associated with the SRT Fourth Lane Project:

Friday, May 8, through the morning of Saturday, May 9 (Overnight)

The following closures will take place from 11 p.m. Friday, May 8, to 7 a.m. Saturday, May 9:

  • All lanes of Hebron Parkway beneath the SRT, including the U-turn lane
  • All eastbound lanes of the SRT at Hebron Parkway

Eastbound SRT detour: Motorists will exit at Hebron Parkway and continue eastbound on SH 121. Motorists will re-enter the tollway before the Carrollton Parkway intersection. Note: This detour does not include tolls.

Westbound Hebron Parkway detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 (the SRT frontage road) and make a U-turn at Carrollton Parkway. Motorists will then continue southwest to Hebron Parkway, where they will turn right.

Eastbound Hebron Parkway detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and enter the SRT. They will take the first exit to Huffines Boulevard/Marchant Boulevard and turn left, then make another left onto eastbound SRT. Motorists will exit the SRT at Hebron Parkway and turn right. Note: This detour does not include tolls.

Construction work for this project includes adding a fourth lane in each direction from US 75 to south of Denton Tap Road.

The Kelly Boulevard bridge over the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., after the morning rush hour.

Southbound Kelly Boulevard traffic detour: Motorists will turn right onto Trinity Mills Road (the PGBT frontage road) and continue to Josey Lane, where they will turn left. They will then make the immediate left onto eastbound Trinity Mills Road and continue to Kelly Boulevard and make a right.

Northbound Kelly Boulevard detour: Motorists will turn right onto Trinity Mills Road (the PGBT frontage road) and make a U-turn at Plumdale Drive/Briar Hill Drive onto westbound Trinity Mills Road. From here they will continue to Kelly Boulevard and make a right.

Monday, April 13 through Late May:

The following closures are needed for construction activities associated with the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) Fourth Lane Project

  • Thursday, April 9, through the morning of Friday, April 17 (Nightly)

All lanes of Standridge Drive/Castle Hills Drive, including the U-turns, between east- and westbound State Highway (SH) 121 (the SRT frontage road) will be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, April 9, through the morning of Friday, April 17.

Northbound Standridge Drive detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and make a left at Josey Lane/Main Street. Motorists will then make another left onto SH 121 and continue to Standridge Drive, where they will turn right.

Southbound Castle Hills Drive detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and continue south at the split to SH 121 Business. Drivers will then make a left on FM 2281/Old Denton Road. Motorists will make another left onto SH 121 and continue to Castle Hills Drive, where they will turn right.

Construction work for this project includes adding a fourth lane in each direction from US 75 to south of Denton Tap Road.

Eastbound Marchant Boulevard detour: Motorists will turn onto eastbound Hebron Parkway and continue to their destination.

Westbound Huffines Boulevard detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and enter the SRT. They will take the first exit to Hebron Parkway and turn left, then make another left onto westbound SRT. Motorists can then exit the SRT at Huffines Boulevard/Marchant Boulevard or continue to their destination. Note: This detour does not include tolls.

Wednesday, March 25, through the morning of Saturday, March 28 (Nightly)  

The following lane and ramp closures will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: 

  • Two westbound right lanes of the SRT at Lake Vista Drive 

  • The north- and southbound I-35E to westbound SRT direct-connector ramps 

North- and southbound I-35E to westbound SRT detour: Motorists will take Exit 447B to State Highway 121 (the SRT frontage road.) They will continue to SH 121, where they will turn west. Motorists can enter the SRT from the entrance ramp from MacArthur Boulevard.

  • All lanes of Huffines and Marchant Boulevards beneath Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday, March 21 through the morning of Sunday, March 29. 

Eastbound Huffines and Marchant Boulevard's Detour:  Motorists will turn onto eastbound Hebron Parkway and continue to their destination. 

Westbound Huffines Blvd. detour: Motorists will turn right and enter the SRT; take the first exit to Hebron Pkwy. and turn left. Motorists can continue on Hebron Pkwy. to Marchant Blvd. Note: This detour does not include tolls.

The following closures are needed for maintenance activities:

NTTA - PGBT Toll SignSaturday, March 14:

The Kelly Boulevard bridge over the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. to noon.

Southbound Kelly Boulevard traffic detour: Motorists will turn right onto Trinity Mills Road (the PGBT frontage road) and continue to Josey Lane, where they will turn left. They will then make the immediate left onto eastbound Trinity Mills Road and continue to Kelly Boulevard and make a right.

Northbound Kelly Boulevard detour: Motorists will turn right onto Trinity Mills Road (the PGBT frontage road) and make a U-turn at Plumdale Drive/Briar Hill Drive onto westbound Trinity Mills Road. From here they will continue to Kelly Boulevard and make a right.

Saturday, March 14 through Late May:

The Kelly Boulevard bridge over the PGBT will be reduced to one northbound lanes and two southbound lanes beginning at noon Saturday, March 14 through late May.

The Scott Mill Road bridge over the PGBT will be reduced to one lane in each direction, with the left north- and southbound lanes closed. The right lanes and sidewalks will remain open.

Tuesday, March 3, through the morning of Wednesday, March 4 (Overnight):  

  • All eastbound lanes of the SRT at Josey Lane/Main Street will be closed from 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3 until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4.
  • The eastbound entrance ramp from Standridge Drive/Castle Hills Drive will be closed from 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3 until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4.

Eastbound SRT detour: Motorists will take the Josey Lane/Main Street exit ramp and continue east on State Highway 121 (the SRT frontage road.) They can reenter the SRT from the entrance ramp from Josey Lane/Main Street.

The Kelly Boulevard bridge over the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. to noon.

The southbound Dallas North Tollway (DNT) to southbound Interstate Highway 35E (I-35E) direct-connector ramp will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, February 16, through the morning of Saturday, February 22.

Southbound DNT to I-35E detour: Motorists will exit the DNT at Oak Lawn Avenue and continue south to the I-35E frontage road. Motorists will then make a left onto the I-35E frontage road and continue south to enter I-35E at the entrance ramp from Continental Avenue.

Motorists will travel west on Rosemeade Parkway, turn left to Marsh Lane, and continue south to the PGBT frontage road. Motorists will turn right onto the PGBT frontage road and continue south and enter westbound PGBT at the entrance ramp near Frankford Road.

Marsh Lane detour via Midway Road:

Westbound PGBT motorists will exit at Midway Road and continue west to Rosemeade Parkway. Motorists will then turn right onto Rosemeade Parkway and continue to Marsh Lane.

  • All lanes of westbound SRT at the Huffines Boulevard/Marchant Boulevard bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, January 24, to 5 a.m. Saturday, January 25.

Westbound SRT detour: Drivers will exit to Huffines Boulevard/Marchant Boulevard and continue west on State Highway 121 (SH 121) to reenter SRT.

Eastbound Marchant Boulevard detour: Motorists will turn onto eastbound Hebron Parkway and continue to their destination.

Westbound Huffines Boulevard detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and enter the SRT. They will take the first exit to Hebron Parkway and turn left, then make another left onto westbound SRT. Motorists can then exit the SRT at Huffines Boulevard/Marchant Boulevard or continue to their destination. Note: This detour does not include tolls.

One eastbound right lane at Sandy Lake Road, the eastbound PGBT to north and southbound IH-35E direct-connector ramp, and the eastbound entrance from Sandy Lake Road will be closed each night from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., Sunday, December 22 through the morning of Tuesday, December 24. 

Eastbound PGBT to southbound IH-35E detour: Eastbound PGBT motorists will exit at Sandy Lake Road and take a right. Motorists will then take another right onto the IH-35E frontage road and enter southbound IH-35E. 

Eastbound PGBT to northbound IH-35E detour: Eastbound PGBT motorists will continue east on PGBT and exit at Old Denton Road. Motorists will turn left onto Old Denton Road and take another left on Trinity Mills Road, where they will enter eastbound PGBT. NTTA TRAFFIC ADVISORY

The following closures are needed for Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) maintenance activities on the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT):

SRT Logo SignTuesday, December 17, through the morning of Wednesday, December 18 (Overnight)

The east- and westbound SRT to northbound Interstate Highway 35E (I-35E) direct-connector ramps will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, through 5 a.m. Wednesday, December 18.

Eastbound detour to northbound I-35E: Motorists traveling eastbound on the SRT will exit to MacArthur Boulevard, continue on State Highway (SH 121), make a left onto northbound South Stemmons Freeway (the I-35E frontage road), and merge left to enter northbound I-35E.

Westbound detour to northbound I-35E: Motorists traveling westbound on the SRT will exit to Lake Vista Drive/SH 121, make a right onto northbound South Stemmons Freeway (the I-35E frontage road), and merge left to enter northbound I-35E.

Changeable message signs will be placed prior to lane closures in the construction area.

Thursday, December 12, through the morning of Friday, December 13 (Overnight)

Two eastbound right lanes between Josey Lane and Kelly Boulevard will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Thursday, December 12 to 4 a.m. Friday, December 13.

Message boards will be placed nearby to alert motorists of the closure.

All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary.

The following closures are needed for maintenance activities on the President George Bush Turnpike:

Wednesday, December 11, through the morning of Friday, December 13 (Nightly)

Two eastbound right lanes between Old Denton Road and Josey Lane will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 11 to 4 a.m. Friday, December 13.

Message boards will be placed nearby to alert motorists of the closure.

All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary.

Thursday, December 12, through the morning of Friday, December 13 (Overnight)

The eastbound PGBT to north- and southbound DNT direct-connector ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday, December 12 to 4:30 a.m. Friday, December 13.

Detour to northbound DNT from PGBT: Motorists traveling eastbound on PGBT will exit at Midway Road/Rosemeade Parkway, continue east and turn left to Midway Road. Motorists will then continue north and turn right to Park Boulevard. Motorists will then continue east and turn left to Dallas Parkway and use the entrance ramp to enter northbound DNT.

Detour to southbound DNT from PGBT: Motorists traveling eastbound on PGBT will exit at Midway Road/Rosemeade Parkway, continue east and turn right to Midway Road. Motorists will then continue south and turn left to Frankford Road. Motorists will then continue east and turn right to Dallas Parkway and use the entrance ramp to enter southbound DNT.

NTTA TRAFFIC ADVISORY on PGBT

The following closures are needed for construction activities associated with the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) Widening Projects:

NTTA - PGBT Toll SignFriday, December 6, through the morning of Saturday, December 7 (Overnight):

The following lanes and ramps will be closed overnight in Carrollton from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.:

  • One westbound right lane between the Frankford Road Main Lane Gantry and Scott Mill Road
  • Westbound PGBT entrance ramp from Frankford Road

Westbound PGBT via Frankford Road detour: Motorists will continue east on Frankford Road and turn right to Marsh Lane. Motorists will then continue south and turn right onto Trinity Mills Road and continue to the westbound PGBT entrance ramp.

Two eastbound left lanes between Sandy Lake Road and I-35E will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 to 4 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Message boards will be placed nearby to alert motorists of the closure.

The following closures are needed for construction activities associated with the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) Fourth Lane Project:

Monday, December 9, through the morning of December. 22 (Nightly) 

All lanes of Standridge Drive/Castle Hills Drive, including the U-turns, between east- and westbound SH 121 (the SRT frontage road) will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, December 9, through the morning of December 22.

Northbound Standridge Drive detour: Motorists will turn right onto State Highway (SH) 121 and make a left at Josey Lane/Main Street. Motorists will then make another left onto SH 121 and continue south to Standridge Drive, where they will turn right.

Southbound Castle Hills Drive detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and continue south at the split to SH 121 Business. Drivers will then make a left on FM 2281/Old Denton Road. Motorists will make another left onto SH 121 and continue north to Castle Hills Drive, where they will turn right.

Construction work for this project includes adding a fourth lane in each direction from US 75 to south of Denton Tap Road.

NTTA Closing Nightly Two Eastbound Lanes and Entrance Ramp between Belt Line/Luna and Sandy Lake

The following closures are needed for construction activities associated with the President George Bush Turnpike Widening Projects (PGBT) Widening Projects:

NTTA - PGBT Toll SignMonday, Nov. 18, through the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 20 (Nightly)

The following lanes and ramps will be closed overnight in Carrollton from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.:

  • Two various eastbound lanes between Belt Line Road/Luna Road and Sandy Lake Road
  • Eastbound entrance ramp from Belt Line Road/Luna Road

Luna Road to eastbound PGBT detour: Motorists will continue north on Luna Road and take a left to Whitlock Lane. Motorists will then continue west on Whitlock Lane/Sandy Lake Road to the eastbound PGBT entrance ramp.
