Signs Discouraging Solicitors and Supporting the Carrollton Police Department are Available
Keep solicitors away and show support for the Carrollton Police Department (CPD). Members of the Carrollton Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (CCPAAA) have designed a sign that can be used by any homeowner in the City indicating to handbill distributors and solicitors that they neither wish to receive advertisements or handbills, nor have their privacy disturbed to hear a personal solicitation.
The no solicitation signs are available for a donation of $10 and “We Support Carrollton Police Department” signs can be purchased for $15 with all proceeds supporting volunteer efforts that provide services to the community of Carrollton, its citizens, and CPD.
Sign holders receiving unwanted advertisements or solicitations have recourse to file complaints with the Carrollton Citizen's Patrol which has authorized two volunteer members to act upon the violation complaints received at 972-466-3281 or email@example.com.
It is a violation of the City’s code of ordinances to solicit or to leave unsolicited items at a property where a No Soliciting sign is posted.
Signs are available at the front desk in the Carrollton Police Department lobby Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8-11 a.m. To speak with a CCPAAA member for additional availability, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The CCPAAA is a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization of trained Carrollton citizens who support the CPD. The purpose of the organization is to bring together graduates of the Carrollton Citizen Police Academy to enhance the relationship between the alumni association, the community, and CPD.
