Carrollton Ranked in the Top 10 Best Real-Estate Markets in the U.S.
The City of Carrollton ranked in WalletHub’s top 10 Best National Real-Estate Markets, landing at number seven on the full list.
The financial planning website analyzed 300 cities in the United States of varying sizes across 23 key indicators of housing market attractiveness and economic strength to recognize which ones demonstrate a healthy society where economic class is most balanced or mixed. The data collected ranged from median home-price appreciation, home sales turnover rate, and job growth.
Each metric was scored from 0 to 100, with 100 representing the healthiest housing market. The weighted average of these individual metric scores was then used to calculate an overall score, which was used to ultimately rank each city. Each city was also categorized by population with Carrollton ranking second healthiest real estate market in Texas for its size, fourth in Texas overall, and seventh in the United States.
Data used to create these rankings was obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), The Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER), Zillow, TransUnion, Chmura Economics & Analytics, and Renwood RealtyTrac.
