City’s Employee E-Newsletter Named Best in State
The City of Carrollton Marketing Services Department was recently honored with a 2010 First Place TAMI Award from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) for Best E-Newsletter in the Technology Services category.
The award was given as recognition for the redesign and content of the City’s “Front Lines” employee newsletter. In 2009, the newsletter was redesigned with a fresher, more modern look. The new graphics are more colorful and inviting; and special effort was made to include and recognize City employees for their outstanding achievements. The articles are tailored to highlight the City’s 10 guiding traits, known as “The Carrollton Difference”. The traits, and Front Lines articles, emphasize teamwork, innovation and collaboration as a means to offering the City’s residents the best value for their tax dollars.
The City’s Marketing Services Department has also been recognized with TAMIO Awards for:
· 2009 Excellence in Media Relations
· 2009 Excellence in Marketing Plan or Campaign, Population over 100,000
· 2008 Best Marketing Plan or Campaign
· 2008 Best Special Event
· 2008 Silver Star for Best Special Publication
