The City’s signature event was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The public’s health and safety remain top of mind, and work is underway to plan a secure event, filled with family-friendly entertainment.

“We are excited for the return of the Festival at the Switchyard this fall,” Mayor Kevin Falconer said. “Seeing residents gather once again in Historic Downtown Carrollton for a full day of free, family fun is truly one of the best parts of being able to serve this community. Plan for a safe, enjoyable time with the same great highlights the event has always offered. City events such as the Festival help further the City’s vision to be the community that families and businesses want to call home.”

Festival AnnouncementIn addition to free concerts, the award-winning Festival at the Switchyard features free live children’s entertainment, free rides and games, free face painting and balloon art, a beer garden, and an array of food vendors and Festival booths to shop from. The event is held on the streets of Downtown Carrollton, just off IH-35E and Belt Line Road, steps away from the Downtown Carrollton Station on the DART Green Line.

Vendor applications will open Friday, June 4, and interested businesses may email for more information. Vendors will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
