City Recognized for Infrastructure Improvements to Fix Road

Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has recognized the City of Carrollton as a member of HUD’s Region VI American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Honor Roll. The project will be featured on HUD’s Texas State website. The City of Carrollton used its $212,536 in CDBG-Recovery funds on reconstruction of street, sidewalk, water and sewer line repair for the Nix Road project, which is in a designated low-moderate income neighborhood Park Place, a N.O.T.I.C.E. (Neighborhood Oriented Targeted Infrastructure and Code Enforcement) project.

This infrastructure project involved some nine streets overall. The City of Carrollton was awarded funds pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which is administered by HUD. The work performed was the reconstruction of street, sidewalk, water and sewer line repair for Nix road in a designated low-moderate income neighborhood Park Place which in turn will provide, safe, decent, and affordable housing to the citizens of Carrollton, Texas.
