Post Date:11/11/2021 9:38 AM

Santa-on-the-Square-imageThe City of Carrollton will host the annual Santa on the Square event, at a new time, from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 4 in Historic Downtown Carrollton (1106 S. Broadway).

Santa will be out late this year to help light up the Square and spread some holiday cheer, and he’s brought along a few elves, toy soldiers, and one of his prize reindeer.

So, grab your stockings and Santa hat for a fun and festive outing that will have the little ones laughing with glee. Enjoy the lights, sing along with the carolers, and get your face painted. Crafts include do-it-yourself ornaments, paper Christmas trees, and mini snowmen.

Come for the official tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. and don’t miss the special 50-drone light show at 6:15 p.m., presented by Sky Elements Drone Shows There will be a photobooth for pictures with Santa in the Gazebo on a first-come, first-served basis, as well as other family photo op areas. Snap a photo with a live reindeer, enjoy the 16-foot decorated tree, and have a friend photograph the family inside the giant 15-foot inflatable snow globe. Take in the lights, visit the face painting booth, and purchase some homemade fudge from one of the vendors. Young crafters can make do-it-yourself ornaments, paper Christmas trees, and mini snowmen. Visit the Downtown merchants and buy gifts for friends and family.

Remember to send in your letters to the North Pole through Monday, December 6. Santa placed a special mailbox in Downtown Carrollton to make sure he receives your requests.

The event is sponsored by Dallas Medical Center.
