The City of Carrollton is ranked as one of the top 10 cities nationwide in LendEDU’s 2023 Best Cities to Start a Family report.

The financial products and strategies website evaluated 350 of the most populated cities in the United States across four key indicators and decided upon the best 300. The LendEDU team wanted to provide insight for young families looking to purchase their first home.

The study addressed 4 key indicators including education, cost of first home purchase, crime and safety, and percentage of young families in the population. The indicators were equally weighted in the final overall ranking. Once the data was compiled for all 350 cities, an overall score was calculated from the four individual indicators and was scored as a number, the lower the number the better the ranking.

Data used to create these rankings was obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Federal Bureau of Investigation Uniform Crime Reporting statistics, GreatSchools.org, and NeighborhoodScout.com.
