The City of Carrollton Marketing Services team was recently recognized with three awards by the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) in a national communications competition.
The Savvy Awards are held in conjunction with 3CMA’s Annual Conference and recognize outstanding local government achievement in communications, public-sector marketing, and resident-government relationships.
Carrollton brought home a first place Savvy Award for marketing the City’s signature Festival at the Switchyard within the category of Special Events – Recurring Event. Judges were impressed with the well-executed and effective campaign, with one commenting that they were going to have to take a trip to Carrollton for the next impressive Festival. In addition, the City earned an Award of Excellence in Graphic Design for the Festival poster design, with judges praising the overall campaign in driving results and achieving a stellar reach. An additional Award of Excellence in the Marketing Tools category was awarded for the marketing of TEXFest, Carrollton’s annual celebration of all things Lone Star State.
“The City of Carrollton’s Marketing team prioritizes engaging our citizens to increase awareness, excitement, and investment in our city, and strives to further Council’s vision to be the community that families and businesses want to call home,” Marketing Director Kelli Lewis said. “We are proud to be recognized for those efforts by a prestigious national organization such as 3CMA.”
