The City of Carrollton is ranked as one of the top five cities nationwide in CoworkingCafe’s Top 20 Hardest-Working Cities study.
The study examined U.S. cities with at least 100,000 residents aged 16 or older. Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the researchers analyzed metrics such as average weekly work hours, employment rate, and idle population to create a work score, productivity score, and efficiency score, which all factored into the total index. This data allowed the study to measure overall work culture across age groups.
Five cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex placed on the ranking, led by Carrollton in fourth place overall in the U.S. The City demonstrated a strong employment rate of 83 percent among working-age adults. Carrollton’s older adults also boosted the City’s work score, as this demographic carried an employment rate of more than 32 percent. With an average workweek of just more than 40 hours, Carrollton’s workforce shows dedication to professional growth and economic development.
