 Rick Springfield

Born in Australia, Springfield moved to the U.S. in 1972 to pursue a solo music career. His debut album Beginnings was the first of seven to achieve Top 40 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Springfield spent the rest of the 1970s creating music and building his acting career. In 1981, he played the role of Dr. Noah Drake in the daytime soap opera “General Hospital,” shortly after recording his album Working Class Dog. That album produced the iconic single “Jessie’s Girl,” catapulting Springfield to success as a household name with a worldwide hit. “Jessie’s Girl” peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and remained there for two weeks, earning him a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. Working Class Dog also featured the song “I’ve Done Everything for You,” another spirited rock track highlighting Springfield’s moody yet strong vocals. He continued releasing music throughout the 1980s, including singles “Don’t Talk to Strangers” and “Love Somebody.” Springfield's impressive longevity shines through his high energy performances as he plays for audiences across the globe, and now, that energy will light up the night in Downtown Carrollton.

Spin Doctors

Before Rick rocks onto the stage, the Festival audience can soak up pure ’90s nostalgia with the alt rock, Grammy-nominated, beanie-wearing Spin Doctors. The group assembled in New York City in the late 1980s and released their debut studio album, Pocket Full of Kryptonite, in 1991. Radio stations and MTV picked up singles “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and “Two Princes,” skyrocketing the band’s popularity not only through the catchy tunes, but also the unforgettable music videos playing across the airwaves. Pocket Full of Kryptonite went triple platinum and reached number three on the Billboard 200 chart in 1993. “Two Princes” showcased the group’s strong blues influence and infectious melodies, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group. Since their breakout album, the band has been releasing music and performing live for fans worldwide. In April 2025, Spin Doctors put out a seventh studio album, Face Full of Cake, showing a revitalized group dynamic and the warm, funky sound fans have always loved.

 Sixpence None the Richer

Indie pop rock band and Texas natives Sixpence None the Richer will perform before Spin Doctors. Lead singer Leigh Nash and guitarist Matt Slocum created the band in New Braunfels in 1992. In 1997, Sixpence None the Richer released a self-titled album, including the single “Kiss Me,” which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and still resonates today with more than a billion streams on Spotify. Famously featured in the 1999 teen romantic comedy “She’s All Thatand the WB’s coming-of-age drama series “Dawson’s Creek,” the ballad’s bright guitar arrangement and lyrical storytelling were irresistible to listeners across the U.S., Australia, Canada, and the U.K. and was nominated for a Grammy. The band is also known for successful covers of pop favorites “There She Goes” by the La’s and “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Crowded House. In 2024, Sixpence None the Richer reunited to release a new EP, Rosemary Hill, capturing a new wave of fans who have fallen in love with the staying power of a song such as “Kiss Me" and proving the band's timeless sound still hits all the right notes with a whole new generation.

 Alien Ant Farm

The audience will be hyped for a night of nonstop entertainment when rockers Alien Ant Farm kick off the Festival headliners. Founded in 1996 in Riverside, California, the band’s in-your-face tracks are influenced by grunge, metal, and punk. The group released a platinum-certified second album ANThology in 2001, bringing a punk rock edge to cover Michael Jackson’s 1987 hit “Smooth Criminal” with super charged heavy metal guitar and gritty vocals. The single hit number one on the Billboard Alternative songs chart and appeared in the 2001 comedy “American Pie 2. Following the success of ANThology, Alien Ant Farm continued to release music and tour worldwide. Fans can also look forward to headbanging hit songs like “Movies” while rocking along at the Festival.

Dallas-based party band Midtown 10 will pump up the jams in the afternoon. With more than 16 years of experience performing, the group combines the talent of live vocals and instruments with all the fun of a DJ. As of February, Midtown 10, formerly IDT Band, joined the Emerald City family of bands. Bringing styles such as EDM, hip-hop, and electro-pop, the Carrollton crowd can once again look forward to dancing and singing along to popular crowd-pleasers spanning decades of music.

Fusion Latina will showcase the ultimate Latin band experience with live vocals, horns, bass, and percussion. The Festival stage will transform into a full-blown fiesta when Fusion Latina perform dynamic and lively musical styles including salsa, bachata, and merengue.

Following the Festival opener, Barefoot Nation will pay tribute to country great Kenny Chesney with classics such as “When the Sun Goes Down,” “There Goes My Life,” and “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems.” The tribute band has played shows all over the U.S., giving country fans the chance to take their cowboy boots for a spin.

School of Rock (North Dallas) will open the main stage entertainment. School of Rock is a student band that performs all around DFW, providing community members of all ages with opportunities to take music lessons and practice in a large group band. They teach drums, guitar, vocals, and songwriting to help budding musicians build confidence in themselves while giving a rocking good show for audiences.
