A chemical spill occurring at a Carrollton business has been contained.

Carrollton Fire Rescue (CFR) responded to a hazardous materials call involving a chemical spill at 3:21 P.M. at WMC – Industrial Wire Company (1915 John Connally Drive.) CFR worked to contain the spill onsite, and one injured person was transported to the hospital for burn treatment. There is no threat to the surrounding area, which is a commercial district, and no public health hazard. The emergency situation has ended and a chemical cleanup company is cleaning the area.
