The City of Carrollton Marketing Services Department was honored with five state awards at the 2026 Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference for the team’s extensive marketing and communications promotional work.

Carrollton competed against 170 other Texas jurisdictions in a record-breaking pool of 711 project entries across 36 categories this year. The TAMI awards recognize outstanding municipal government communication in a variety of areas:

Carrollton continues to be recognized for exemplary municipal marketing and communications outreach efforts. From public service and education to amenities and events, City staff work hard to ensure residents, businesses, and visitors remain informed and engaged, and Carrollton’s Marketing Services team is honored to be awarded for the work that outlines and highlights key City initiatives.

“City Council’s vision is to be the community that families and businesses want to call home, and our hardworking staff prioritize communication and engagement as part of those efforts,” Marketing Director Kelli Lewis said. “I’m extremely proud to see the City’s work recognized by this talented association of industry professionals.”

The TAMI Awards program serves as a professional high point for municipal communications work in Texas. In addition to the peer recognition fostered by the TAMI Awards, the process allows all participating members to learn more about best practices and innovative communication tools being used across the state.
