It’s FREE! No entry fee or ticket is needed, and all rides, games, concerts, and entertainment are free (including concerts by nationally known headliners). Bring spending money for food, drinks, and shopping.
2. Main Stage Entertainment
The Festival at the Switchyard features FREE concerts by nationally known and local musical acts.

3. Front of Stage Entertainment
In addition to the main stage entertainment, attendees can enjoy performances from local groups throughout the day in front of the stage.
4. Children's Entertainment
In addition to concerts and community performances, the Festival offers free entertainment for the whole family:
Bungee trampolines
Inflatable zipline
25-foot-tall fun slide
Face painting and balloon twisting
Arcade games & pinball machines inside the Plaza Arts Center
Strolling magician and juggler
Character cosplay groups for photo opportunities
And so much more!
5. Food, Vendors, & Shopping Opportunities
When guests get hungry, they can give their feet a rest in one of the Downtown restaurants or enjoy a quick bite to eat from food vendors offering Festival favorites such as kettle corn, deep fried Oreos, hamburgers, tacos, funnel cake, and of course, corny dogs.
Once everyone has had their fill, guests are encouraged to visit the unique shops that line the Square or stop by the many trendy artisan booths for items ranging from jewelry and clothing to trinkets for kids to unique home décor pieces. Start working on that Christmas shopping early this year!
6. Parking Will Be Extremely Limited
Parking will be extremely limited. Park and ride the DART Green Line to the Downtown Carrollton Station (regular charges apply; visit dart.org/fares). Festivalgoers can also ride the newly opened DART Silver Line for free to this year’s Festival.
Handicap parking will be available at 1000 W. Belt Line Road, just east of the Festival grounds and is also available at all DART stations.
7. Unpermitted Items
Unpermitted Items: The following are not permitted due to the limited space within the Festival grounds:
lawn chairs
skateboards
bicycles
scooters
roller-blades
coolers
Seating areas within the Festival grounds are provided.
Pets, with the exception of service animals for persons with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, are also not permitted.
8. Beer Garden
Take a break in the beer garden, and visit one of three bars at the Festival for a variety of beer and wine. Several Downtown restaurants also offer mixed drinks.
9. Event Held Rain or Shine
The event will be held rain or shine. Musical acts maybe postponed due to inclement weather, but will not be rescheduled for an alternate weekend.
If the weather becomes severe enough to jeopardize public safety, the Festival may be closed until conditions improve.
